Today I was thankful for my husband's active duty service to our country.
We went to the D-Day museum in New Orleans for a short while before picking up my parents from the airport.
Of course I am thankful for the discount we are given because he is active duty....
BUT....while we were there I realized how fortunate we are.
We were not only able to visit both atomic bomb sites while we were in Japan (Nagasaki & Hiroshima), but we were fortunate enough to live on an island that played such an integral part in WWII.
We did not get to do the entire museum because we were short on time.
We just saw the 45 minute 4D "movie" they created for the museum....IT WAS AWESOME...VERY WELL DONE!
